When I set out to design my own cutters, I started with a simple question: what frustrates me about the cutters I already own? I wrote down every answer. Then I designed against each one.
Nothing about these cutters is accidental. Here’s what I built in, and why.
Two varieties, so you never have to choose – this one’s HUGE!!

Many cutters have imprint or stamp elements inside the outer cutting blade. Those elements only press into your clay if your slab is the right thickness for that cutter. When they don’t, the question shows up in every polymer clay group: “Why isn’t my cutter imprinting on my slab?”
And the answer provided by most is nearly always the same: “Make your slab thicker.”
Here’s the thing. Some of us actually LIKE working in thin slabs. Being told to change how I work to suit a tool never sat right with me. A tool should fit the clayer, not the other way around.
So every Full Bobbin design with internal imprint or stamp elements comes in two varieties:
- Standard imprints on regular slabs
- Thin imprints on thin slabs
I told you it was huge! This is a feature I haven’t seen offered anywhere. By anyone. I’m active in the polymer clay community. I haven’t seen anyone offering thick and thin varieties. I wanted this for my own work, so I built it. And guess what? I’m not charging extra for it. Score!

A blade built for clean cuts
The WedgeLock™ blade is the part I’m proudest of, because every piece of it has a job:
- A super sharp 0.4mm cutting edge for clean, smooth cuts
- Subtle undulations along the blade wall that help the clay release
- No steps on the blade wall that could distort your clay on the way through
- A thicker base for blade strength
You may have heard that a sharp blade can only come from a 0.2mm nozzle or a resin printer. I’ve already written about both, and my answer hasn’t changed: a sharp blade can be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle and without resin. You just have to print the right cutter. If you want the full story, here’s my post on nozzle sizes and my post on resin vs. FDM.
Made for your hands
Each cutter stands 14mm tall, taller than most, and has comfort-grip handles. Pressing cutters into clay adds up over a long session, and your hands matter.
Sizes, and what you get for the price
Every main cutter* design comes in 12 sizes, from 20mm to 75mm in 5mm steps. For designs with imprint or stamp elements, that’s both varieties in every size.
That’s 24 models for $4.
Designs without interior elements come in the 12 sizes only, since there’s nothing to imprint. I price my cutters at or below what cutters of lesser quality charge, because good tools shouldn’t cost a fortune. Club members save even more and get monthly coins to pick out their favorite files. Yes, I like to give options and keep things fun!
And a reminder that FullBobbin.com sells only digital assets. If you’d rather hold a printed cutter than print one yourself, physical versions of my designs are available in my Etsy shop. Please be patient as I add to the catalog there. If you need something specific, just ask!
So tell me: which feature would make the biggest difference in your clay time? Tell me in the comments!
Until next time!

A full life. A grateful heart. Full Bobbin.
