I love hand sewing. It offers me an opportunity to relax. I can pick up a piece of fabric, a needle and some thread and it’s a perfect way to end the day.

Specifically I love making little things by hand. There’s that book about Japanese hand sewn gifts.  I think it’s called Omiyage. Although a quick search on the internet shows that Omiyage is to mean a souvenir, that’s not quite correct. It means much more than that. It is a gift given with much thought about the recipient.
