About Full Bobbin Studio

For years, Full Bobbin was about the literal thread in a sewing machine’s bobbin, and its symbolism of being ready, sewing without interruption. This blog was created in 2014 about that one solitary niche, sewing.

But a full life—like a full bobbin—is about being wound with many different threads, and these specifically are what I include here now: creativity, technology, community and faith.

I revamped the blog’s theme and along with the revamp I got a new tagline: A good turn deserves another. You might have seen it and found it confusing. Especially as it’s attached to an image of a pasta rolling machine. It’s not only a nod to my beloved polymer clay community. It’s also symbolic of the way I choose to live. I’ve always believed that kindness goes a long way. I believe in doing good. I believe in paying it forward. I’ve been the recipient of so much good from so many others. I only hope that my attempts to pay that kindness forward has blessed others in the way I’ve been blessed myself.

In this revamped almost-teenage blog, I’m here to show you how to stitch those pieces together, whether you’re making a handmade doll, building a digital business to help support your family, making your first pair of polymer clay earrings (fun!) or just finding ways to be kind in a busy world.

You’ll be happy to know that the content I share is set up freely with you so you can read it without scrolling past annoying ads or tons of pop-ups. I want your experience here to be a pleasant one. Like visiting a bosom buddy. <3

And know that being a maker myself means the things I design or share are optimized to work the way makers need, not the way a factory chasing the latest trends thinks we work.

I hope you’ll stop by regularly and visit with me.

Until next time, be intentional and keep filling your life with joy,

A full life. A grateful heart. Full Bobbin.
