A Tiny Scoop for Tiny Jobs
Sometimes a regular spoon is simply way too much spoon.
I wanted a tiny, long-handled scoop for working with the small amounts of mica powder I use in my polymer clay projects. So naturally, I designed one. And then I wondered whether a slightly different bowl might be useful. And a different handle. And…well, you can see where this went.
The result is my Polymer Clay Mica Scoop, a petite tool with a long handle and tiny bowl that makes it easier to pick up, transfer and place small amounts of mica powder and other fine materials without reaching for an oversized utensil.
Approximate dimensions: 3.9″ L × 0.24″ W × 0.12″ H (99 × 6 × 3 mm)
Your purchase includes the finished Mica Scoop design shown, supplied as a geometry-only 3MF file.
But because I apparently cannot leave a perfectly good tiny scoop alone, I’m also including four additional scoop variations as a gift. They’re great little tools from the design process that I liked well enough to keep—and I thought you might enjoy having them too.

A Little Something from My Workbench
Some of my favorite tools begin with a very simple thought: I could really use a…(insert a need here!)
So I make one.
Sometimes it’s for polymer clay. Sometimes it’s for organizing my studio. And sometimes an idea sends me down a completely unexpected rabbit hole. If I create something that earns its keep around here, I figure it might be useful in your creative space too.
That’s what you’ll find in Specialty Tools: the useful little things I’ve designed for myself, tested in real life, and decided were simply too handy not to share. I hope it helps you too!
